I don’t know what Apple had in mind when they decided to exclude a To-Do application from the iPhone software set. That a big no-go for me, but luckily, third-party developers have stepped in.
I had a look at the Omnifocus, it includes an iPhone version, but the set is expensive for what it offer. So far, not many products are offering native iPhone apps and the associated sync. One worth watching is Things but the sync isn’t there yet. And I needed something right now.
I found a good combination by using the Toodledo web app and the Appigo Todo native app. I don’t like having my data in a silo on a free service, but Toodledo offers many export capabilities, so I’m able to run away in case. And there is even something for the hacker. I will play with this set for a while, and then decide whether I buy the 15$/year pro version. Sub-tasks is the big incentive, but I don’t know if I really need them.
I try to be a GTD-organized person, but I’m not really up to it yet.
