summer time reboot for SAP

At a customer site, they came to the idea to use SAP. Now that we will soon switch our clocks to summer time, it’s good to know that this million-$ cool SAP application need to be rebooted to handle the DST-switch. Welcome in 2009, the year of modern software.

Sure it needs collaboration, especially with the Windows administrators that will need to reboot their horde of SAP servers next Sunday morning at 3am. Dear SAP, I suggest you look at NTP. We UNIX/Linux admins use it since about 1990. Or maybe earlier. Not sure, I do UNIX only since 1992.
